PADDLE BOARD TOURS & RENTALS

Stand up paddle surfing, also known as SUP, paddle surfing, stand up paddle boarding or beach boy surfing (due to its origins with the Waikiki Beach Boys) is a great way to enjoy the waters of New Hampshire for both surfers and non surfers alike. SUP is one of the fastest growing recreational watersports because anyone can do it and it is FUN! Stand up paddling is a unique way for anyone to experience the joys of the sea, from flat water paddling to riding waves.

We offer private and group lessons across the street at the beach as well as in the Newcastle Harbor Islands. We also have stand up board and paddle rentals available for your enjoyment

New Stand Up paddlers will learn the basics:

• safety
• pickup and carry surfboard
• basic paddle stroke
• basic paddle turn
• paddle on knees
• how to stand up
• where to stand up
• parallel stance
• paddle standing up
• proper stroke
• control board direction
• using paddle to keep stable
• using paddle to keep from falling
• step back on tail, lift nose
• sweeping strokes on one side
• front side turn
• back side turn
• wave selection
• wave catching
• wave and surfing etiquette

Eco Stand Up Paddle Tours
See wildlife, birds, seals, marshes, harbors, ponds, and the rocky intertidal zone, all from the pull stroke of the paddle. Also check out yachts and local beach front architecture. Get a full stand up view of what's going on under the water and all around you. If conditions are right, we also offer coastal snorkeling tours.

Sunset Paddle Tours
Experience the tranquil beauty of a warm New Hampshire sunset. We'll paddle out toward the harbor for a memorable sunset and take in the scenery from the ocean. A definite highlight of the summer! We'll top it off with a bonfire on the beach!

We carry a wide selection of SUP's on so you can find something that best matches your ability and riding style. SUP board rentals can be picked up at our convenient central Island location. We accept advanced reservations on board rentals. SUP board rentals can be taken to and used at any Island surfing beach harbor or pond. SUP board rentals include adjustable wood or carbon SUP paddle, DAKINE leash, car straps and wax. Please inquire about SUP rental pricing.
