Located less than three miles north of Hampton Beach along Rt. 1A (Ocean BLVD), Rye is a scenic and historic stretch of coastline that is quintessentially "New England." Summer Sessions Surf Shop is the perfect place to "Surf and Stay!" The Surf Shop shares its location with a coffee shop and country store, so you can come in for anything from bagels and smoothies to chips and beer. We also share the property with The Dunes Motor Inn, an idyllic little motel and restaurant that is a throw back to the 60's drive-inn era. So, you can rent a board, fill your belly, and walk to the beach from the surf shop parking lot, then crash at the neighboring motel after a day in the sun! How could a surf vacation be any easier?

If the swell happens to be small or surfing just isn't your thing, there are plenty of other activities offered through the shop. Fishing, Booze Cruises, Scuba Diving & Snorkeling tours, Bike and Kayak rentals, Horseback Riding, Skimboard lessons and Beach Yoga can all be scheduled through the store or our partners. There is plenty to keep you busy and active while you're here.

nightlife

You wanna to party, huh? There is plenty of that in Rye and Portsmouth, but you better still be up for the dawn surf session regardless! Portsmouth is one of New England's most happening scenes. The downtown area has pubs, sports bars, and clubs that cater to all types whether they are fine diners or night revelers. Smaller, cleaner and more cultural than Hampton Beach, it offers a nice contrast to the "Hampton Scene."
